    Shed time

    I love my shed.
I love all the shit that goes down in my shed and sometimes would rather be in there then in the house.
Should every man have a shed? I think so.
Should the shed be hallowed ground that requires permission to enter? I think so.
Is it wrong to want to want to go to the shed all the time? I think not.

Is it just me or are we all the same?

And whats this chick thing calling the shed "The man cave?" surely some chicks dig their shed as well?

we are not all the same.

Though I have decked out my shed with carpet, wall linings, a row of lazy boys, a home theatre/projector/stereo,flags,posters,skulls,Framed pictures,Concert T-shirts, DVD collection,CD collection,a slot car set, beer fridge and my bike parked dead centre. It all opens out onto an outdoor entertaining area.

There is a separate workshop area loaded with my tools and crap.

I had to make an effort to spend less time out there as it was seriously fucking up shit with the family.

If it wasn't for "man caves" I'm sure there would be a lot more family violence.

That is a very nice shed indeed.

I note that you are into art as well as motorcycles.

I would love to have my own shed! Everybody needs a place where they can get away, have some time to themselves and just tinker. My dream shed would have space to mess with my bike and enough shelves, hooks, etc that all my bike gear would be accessible all the time (instead of getting buried under piles of other rubbish! ).

The difference between my shed and most blokes' sheds would be that there would also be room for an arty-crafty space, with a sewing machine, boxes of fabric, half-finished quilts, mosaic tiles, beading & jewellery-making stuff, embroidery threads, rug-making frames...

ooooh my idea of heaven is a space where I can leave all that stuff without interference and without anyone asking me why it's there, and when am I going to finish that project, and does it really need to use up all that room?!

*sigh* I dream of having a shed of my own.

Love my shed, in fact the only reason I plan to build rather than buy next time is so that I can specify more things about it!

Love my sheds (both of them)
Dyno, forge and 2cwt power hammer, variety of welders, lathe, milling machines, drills and lots of junk.
Even better, my wife understands me and lets me potter in the shed...
