On what basis do you make this statement?
There are a number of problems with soldered joints on automotive gear. Lack of strain relief is the main one, and corrosion is another.
For years I have repaired countless things with crimp terminals, some of them previously soldered together, and never had a problem with it.
Perhaps you are using a cheap stamped-steel crimping tool?
