Parking wardens and the law of the land

I seem to remember sometime back it was posted that the actual law that enabled area and district councils to employ parking wardens to issue tickets, was due to expire about now.

If anyone can remeber the thread please post the link.

Same with the laws relating to parking wardens.

As I work for a council it would be great to have them running around like chickens with heads cut off.

It would also be great to be able to tell a parking warden to stick the useless piece of paper where the sun doesnt shine.

I got a 'stationary vehicle offence notice' saying that I had 'operated a vehicle on the road with out displaying a current WOF'... yet they have not proof that I was actually operating it, apart from the assumption that I rode my bike to where it was parked.

I was actually on my way to a place of repair, just that I had early lectures and the WOF station doesn't open before I leave for uni.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Those guys who put a white chalk mark on your tyre could do with losing their jobs so they can find some better point to their existance.

    "What's that for"
    "It's only an hour parking"
    "It's a motorcycle"
    "Still only an hour"
"I don't like you putting marks on my expensive tyres"
    "58 minutes left"
