Tyre warmers & keeping them clean?

Just wondering how everyone goes at keeping there tyrewarmers clean?

im currently using a bit of formica (cos its skinny and strong ish) and putting it between the chain and the warmer but it is a bit of an ass cos it keeps moving.

Also has anyone ever cleaned their's before?

mine has got quite a bit of grease / chain lube on the rear just from rubbing on the chain a little.
I asked a drycleaning place if they could clean them, they said they could but that i would have to take them to a sparky before i used them again.

Thats just in case the wiring got yanked while in the machine. They don't want any comebacks.

Why do you want them clean?

I switched to chain wax for that very reason and wipe the inside face of the chain each time !
Don't help ya with cleaning them but, have read a few theories on here so some ideas will no doubt turn up shortly !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

A good reason to have Black ones......

Wouldn't want to clean them, as the smoke in the wires don't like water too much i'm picking...

There is a potential for all the smoke to leak out once you plug them in next time....
