Mmmm, so in the case of my second encounter with the establishment, a so called 63 in a 50k (total bollocks I profess) said cop hadn't reached his quota for the day /week/month or whatever so 'targeted a streach of road (dead straight, no hazards, excellent visability, very wide etc) and starts pinging people who aren't speeding! nicking at least 4 for the exact same speed!!!
Sorry cant feel sorry for them. Just think what might have been achieved if he had 'targeted' the side streets or commercial sector he might have just observed some real crime..........dont mind me, still feeling bitter about it all.
I see what you are hinting at...
Curious at what the other tickets issued were at that day...
All for 63 = Problem....
But, if they were 72, 63, 98, 67, 63, 112, 65, 63.... yep, there were three for 63....But I could be wrong....
This doesn't prove anything.. it might have been CIB going for a coffee at his aunties house..?!
There's no denying that the focus of the local police is skewed.. normal policing is poorly managed and road management ( lol at this term.. i should say road policing) is all about revenue gathering.
:slap:
When I was younger it pretty much used to go like this (We sat and listened to the scanner as they pulled us over lol)
Comms 3T atcopy

Comms QP, male born DD/MM/YYYY copy
Comms QP, male born DD/MM/YYYY copy

" Life is not a rehearsal, it's as happy or miserable as you want to make it"
That's a rather mono view of the situation IL4. A mate of mine is the biggest nana you can imagine, has 3 Duke's, one is an SR4 with all the bells n whistles that is 140BHP+. Get's along quick if it wants to but he rides around at the speed limit on the main roads & barely gets any pace up on the back roads. We all laughed when he got pinged recently as he is the most unlikely chap to ever get a speeding ticket. He sped up to pass a car & got pinged in the middle of it, was a safe place & was barely touching 120km/h.
I understand what you are saying & agree with it up to a point but before the last labour gubbermint got in police were able to use descretion. That seems to be all but eroded now.
ps: ever see the leaked emails floating around a while back about quota's?
I'm with you on that, they are just doing their job
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Read in the DomPost recently that the reason the Waiararapa police coun't respond adequately to suspected child abuse cases was that they were "chronically under resourced". Yet there seem to be plenty of resources available for road policing.
Only a cynic would say thats because there is more revenue to be made in road policing, whereas investigating child abuse is a cost all the way, no money to be made there.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
