Hornet 250... back plate gone!

So, went out to get on my bike today, did a walk around, checked the chain etc... lo and behold, the plate that the tensioning nuts press against is gone and so are the nuts... wondering how this happened.

At the moment I've got a big square washer acting as the plate for the swingarm and managed to find some nuts that had the righ tthread.

Any idea where to get these plates from? Really pissed me off!

Try Action Motorcycle Wreckers, on BArrys Point Road Takapuna. Thats the road that Cycletreads is on. Not sure on the exact address, they used to be behind Holeshots but they have moved. Or try Econohonda( I think thats what they are called), They specialise in honda parts.

Clearly one of the precious owners of my hornet had the same thing happen as I've got a stack of 4 or so washers doing the same job now. Has been sweet for 2+ years now so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yea, was sortta ironic. Was reading some japanese website about the hornet and they said it's a good idea to put little orings on the tension bolt behind the nuts to stop them coming off. Couple of days later shows me how good an idea it is :P
