    Can anyone help me out?

Here it is, I am doing an assignment for my Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. I am investigating accommodation for motorcyclists.

    I need your opinions regarding:

What you have found you like in the various motels etc you have stayed in while touring?

What do you want to see in an accommodation facility to suit bikers?

What price range are you happy to pay for accommodation that supplies the facilities suggested?

Any other additional info that may be of interest/use. Ladies (members and partners) your opinions too please.

I would prefer to be able to quote you directly (read clean language), and ideally your real name.

I need as much info as possible by Monday 24th August and if anyone has concerns with privacy I am happy to email a copy of the paper before I submit it on Friday 28th August

Please try to resist quotes, agree or disagree in a seperate box

    Cheers DV

Apart from riding motorcycles, "motorcyclists" have little in common when travelling and seeking accommodation. Some enjoy camping, and tote the requisite gear around with them. Others think that "roughing it" is a motel without a spa.

Well, from my point of view, the likes of BBH does quite well. Linen + pillows etc, are handy, as you have to carry less, but not super expensive, as you don't need the milk etc, that comes with it.

Long trips, you're basically looking for a shower, comfy bed, food nearby (Sir Cedrics in Franz Josef even offered a free bowl of home made soup ) and it would be very handy to have free wifi, but so be it

A place for the bikes for the night is always great, but often the owners are very accomodating. The Americana in Picton made some space in their garage for my bike and another, then parked their car in front, so the bikes were safe.

The Tombstone in Picton let us park right up near the front door, under their entry cover, tucked out of sight etc.

Hotels/motels for bikes-must have secure parking available.Mate stayed at The Coachman in Palmy and said they had undercover parking and secure.
