    Those damn italians

    M900 '00

after tutuing today nstalling my garage door remote switch, I go to start bike - no go

a relay in the rear is buzzing merrily away but no lights, indicators etc

The buzz stops when connector is pulled from the oil pressure switch but same symptoms minus buzzing.

Battery is fine, I have gone through every single connector, fuse etc; but still no go.

It's not loading the battery when buzzing (no real discernable voltage drop) there is good earth.

I am Stumped, any suggestions would be vundabar. (Apart from buy a jappa)

You need to replace the relay and also check all if the fuses.

It's quite right that it won't start without the relay.

I hope it is as simple as that.

It was even simpler than that

realised that when I reassembled the airbox I didn't see the second earth lead.

I suspected it was an earthing issue. Ah well now i know most of the in and outs of the electrical system.

I think I need a project bike so I stop unnecessary spannering on my main bike
