To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.
I think its 60$, get there as early as you can get out of bed and ride as many classes as they let you.
Go home a happy retard
What do I need to do to be legal for the track? Axle sliders? Anything else?

No sliders reqd, just remove or tape up headlight and indicators, remove mirrors and footpegs. I didn't wire sump last time and there wasn't an issue
