    Need info on Rossi

Hey everyone. I'am a huge fan of Valentino Rossi cause I reckon he's the greatest M/C racer to walk the earth etc etc but not only that he's also one of the coolest racers as well. I just love reading all the interviews of him cause every word he speaks makes so much sence and it's pretty much gold and I can't get enough of it. It would have been awesome if he wrote a book or something but I don't think he has yet.

Anyway, I only have a few magazines with interviews on him and I tried to find some stuff on the net but didn't have much luck.

If you guys have come across any interviews or any info about his riding tecniques or any thoughts or ideas from Rossi himself, I would be very greatfull if you could please bring it to my attention. If it's in a magazine, I could photocopy it and give the magazine back to you.

    Cheers!

don't know any interviews to hand, but he's a top dude.
Gets off a race winning Honda, then wins the first race out on a Yama. If that isn't the dogs bollox, then what is?

He also reminds me of Fez from That 70s Show..

The latest MCN had a scoop about his riding style. He effectively does the motorcycle equivalent of "left-foot braking", where he keeps the throttle open in a corner, while also holding the brake on all through the corner. The brake controls speed, while keeping the throttle open means that there isnt the unsteadiness of the moment of neutral throttle as you accelerate out of a corner. Apparently spotted by some trainspotter with a pair of binocs, and far too much time on his hands. I'll see if I can dig out the article for you. It wasnt very extensive, thats about all that was in it.

    Eddie Lawson's better.

Rossi's like Schumacher. No REAL competition from the current crop of pilots, unless the vehicle is significantly better than the one Rossi and Schumacher are riding/driving.

He bought me a beer once when I was working in GPs. I was just a lowly team member from a different team but he still recognised me in a pub and bought me a beer. I've been a fan ever since. A lot of the time not even our own riders bought us beers! Got a signed tee-shirt somewhere but sorry you can't have that.

He kicked arse in 125s, he kicked arse in 250s, he kicked arse in 500s, he kicked arse in MotoGP, and then did it again on the lesser bike. Sorry Jim2 I can't agree with ya.

What the hell are you apologising for!

I respect your right to your opinion. I will die to preserve your right to disagree with me.

Now stop making me grumpy and say something outrageously stupid to give me a decent excuse to "pounce".

    Bloody needless apologising.... (mutter, grumble)

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Much better. Grammatically correct what's more.
