Original rubber cushioned front sprockets?

i just replaced chain and sprockets on daytona and have noticed a bit of driveline vibration does the factory sprocket have the rubber on sides to absorb chain bounce when loading and unloading chain the chain is set to 40mm slack as in manual its a single sided swingarm and these run a looser chain than others cheers

All the rubber does is act as a sound damper.

If after fitting new chain & sprockets you feel you have driveline vibration - and you're confident all is well with fastenings, alignment and the awkward things like wheel bearings etc. Then one possibility is that one or both of your new sprockets is not concentric.
Remove the chain and spin the sprockets against a pointer - easy enough to do and it will show what they're like.

Personally I have struck maybe 2 not concentric out of a very high number of aftermarket sprockets over the years. Rare but it can happen.

yeah cheers mate i know what you mean but these sprockets have checked out round may just be the way this bike is didnt have it long before changed chain and sprocs thanks

Might be worth popping over to a Triumph specific forum and asking the question (someone will pipe up with the address of a good one soon enough). Some bikes are fussy than others about having the rubber cushioned ones from I've read. Having said that, I've never had a problem when I've replaced any of mine. Some owners are fussier too, so take everything you read with a grain of salt.

yeah cheers mate i did ask same question on triumph rat forum and most dont bother with the rubber sided sprocket plus its $160 bloody joke eh why do they over price stuff to hell only to have it sit on shelf collecting dust
