Was farkin close to going down! I started off heading straight for the armco but managed to turn the bike side on...hit the gravel and slid sideways into it. Think my foots broken...hospital to confirm prob tomorrow. Tell ya what, it hurt like a bitch changing gears! :slap:

I took the liberty (as we do in Wainui) of stealing all the pix that we posted and making an album of that ride.
Anyone have anymore to share of the ride today- let me know we will add them to the album
    Just ride.

finaly home... and able to say my bit on the ride...

thanks to Quasi, i got to feel the power of a Duc for the first time..!!!

we took the long way to the top of the hill to wait (and wait........ and wait, yeah, we were a "bit" early)in the freezing cold....
we took the east/west rd from Martin/B to that windy rd that comes out at the hill end of featherston... after stopping to check the time, we decided that we had heaps (of time) to get some gas... and for our hearts to stop beating so fast
    Yeah, i found out that
    a corner + a "little" speed + gravel = butt clenching time...

but the monster stayed up right... (lucky for me as i think/know that Q's girls would have killed me AFTER Q did, if ...... well i didn't go there so wont tempt fate)

i then found just how good the bike handled the hill... not being to familiar with the hill i took it easy (HONEST) and just tried to be as smooth as possible (didn't want sore kidneys ..... lol)

made it to the top with time to spare... meeting "charlie41" and some of her mates ... they buggered off, then another group... hope that's "our group".. but no... another 15min of frezzing when Scuzeme turned up... and then the rest (see Q's photo's)...

once the smokers had their smokes, we were off... sedatly... heheheheh
KGB found out that his tire was cold.....

we regrouped in featherston, and i lead out to Martin/B... till a 1098 flew by... and... well the yellow monster wanted to join in.... ( i could hear her call me to go faster..... NOW..)
Q hung on for dear life....
but when the corners came up, the monster held her ground...
    and went around so smoothly....

we finished up at "hooters".. and talked shite and i finaly clicked on who the hell "Scuzeme" is.... gee talk about being blond....

after some great conversations, we headed home and as we walked in the door as it started to rain....

we (Quazi and i )felt sorry for the ones heading back over the hill... for a minuet

will be great to get my bike back asap

    AJ

    what a ride so far!!!!

Haha...My sources say that there was a furrow in the road on that corner...my front wheel must've hit it! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! haha, good to catch up with ya mate...do it again real soon....minus the armco interference!
