Plus one to that. I think this just displays how stupid our judiciary are, they let recidivist drunk drivers go, over and over, with pathetically light sentences and waste court time and resources with charges like Carver's!
He should have dismissed the charges and just cautioned Carver about future activities!
Had Carver been a university student he would have been OK!
That stunt took balls and skill, Carver should be congratulated. IMHO
Methinks one of the things that did for Carver was the guy walking underneath while he passed overhead.
I'll bet the safety police couldn't let that go.
good entertaining thread for a change
keep up the efforts Drew. i think you are right about intelligent people not being able to spell is just laziness.
and the bridge stunt was fantastic too..............
Well Carver, they got you! Pity because they could have had their cake and eaten it too and made it impossible for anyone else to repeat the stunt by adding one or two bollards on the arches.
You didn 't deserver the over the top punishment and you did plead guilty, I hope that they heard how much time and effort went into making sure you could handle this ride.
I'd rather the city fatheads and their pet policemen and women did their actual job and made damn sure that their cities recidivist drunk drivers are taken off the roads for good.
One (a hamiltonian drunk(14 times convicted) and never jailed)nearly did for my mother and father a few years ago and when I saw the Half a page article article in the Waikato Rubbish rag extolling the gentle giants virtues as a rugby loving fun type of guy I rang the editor and asekd him if he'd like my dads story of a driver on his side of the road for over 200 metres , of having his wife screaming that they were going to die as he put her and her side of the car up a bank so that only he was to take the impact.
The editors reply??? Thats not news.
The bastard dying at the scene and his mates going back into the car he was in to get more beers while they threatened a broken necked, broken backed and shattered hipped 60 plus year old man and his unconscious wife got off lucky. I'd certainly be in prison now if he'd lived.
Less time making stupid examples of obviously competent, spirited people and more time puttiung away fuckwits and I for one would be happier.
Will ride with you again anytime Carver.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Is riding a motor bike over a bridge arch way more dangerous to the public than riding a motorbike down the road standing on the seat?
The penalty for carver seems a bit harsh, but I feel it was because of the publicity it received.
Carver you poser. Great work on sainsburys show.
Keep up the good posing!
