    do elaborate
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

That's what I read somewhere and it fits with those lyrics. From what I gathered they walked into a board room somewhere (or possibly a recording studio) and one ponce asked "Which one's 'Pink'?" It really showed the company exec's up for what they were; users who really didn't know anything about PF or their music.

Me too, paced myself I did. We took a mate's bus and got trashed but had a feed before we went in, worked wonders. We still don't talk about the chemical toilet....with no chemicals.

According to the Doco, you're cowwect!

I learnt something new! I never realised this was alluded to on that album.

Must listen to the whole lot again!
I also have half of "Umma Gumma"

Does anyone else ever wonder if Pink via The Wall - really was Syd? A description of madness? (just throwing it out there...have never seen The Wall Doco, so could be stating the obvious?)

Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

Don't think it is, possible it's a mixture of his frustration of loosing his dad in WW2 & loosing his best mate?

    Same one

Also have the Syd Barrett story, equally as good, but again im a little bias By the age of 16 I had 20 PF tapes & went to the concert at Western Springs that same year, have always been a huge fan, always will be. David Gilmours playing just gets better & better, simply increadible to watch/hear

    I am SO tired today!
I had intended to go to bed early last night, catch up on some sleep, but thanks to that doco, I went and bought "David Gilmour - Live at The Royal Albert Hall" and ended up watching it till after eleven.
The review I read before I bought it was right: this is a SUPERB album - simply amazing. It's recorded in proper Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, and sounded fantastic at 58, even if it did make the room shake a bit (and at one point woke the vifferbabe with a start, although how anyone could sleep through that astounds me).
The camera work is good too, and the 'friends' that helped him out (Phil Manzanera, David Crosby, Steven Stills, David Bowie, et alia did a sterlng job.
I didn't know #2Son paid any attention to me listening to Pink Floyd, but at one stage he wandered in and said, "That sounds exactly like their album!" (This despite the fact there was really only two 'proper' Pink Floyders playing.)
The only bad thing about it was it was kinda sad seeing all these fantastic and skilled musicians in their sixties; youth truly is wasted on the young.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
