I believe the food caravan has eftpos, but I always take cash just in case.

If your really stuck the BP at Waiouru is only 6kms away.

Keep in mind they shut the gates at 8pm so dont leave it till the last minute.

Yea theres a few of us (4 that I know of) that are heading there via the scenic route, you're more than welcome to join in. We won't be going much over 100kph though. Just let me know, and Ill put up details on when we are going to leave. We've got a trailer going up later in the day as well, so if you're lucky, you may not have to carry much.

Another note to dummies & not so dummies, last year when I arrived the kiwi (9pm) there was a whambulance at the entry gate transferring a person who had a broken their ankle walking into a hole in the ground, in the dark.
I heard another had done it on saturday, so don't let a hole or burnout rut wreck your weekend.

    O.J plastic bottle.

For when it's too cold to get out of tent for a piss in the middle of the night.Cap it and go back to sleep.
    (dirty ol buggar aye)
Barroca for the morning, and watch where the neighbours park their bikes.
Nothing like a handle bar piercing your tent through the night.
