Well, after all that, I'm not sure who/when I'm riding with now... I'm leaving with my trusty guide, and next door neighbour at about 9:30 or 10am. So far, we're heading over the Takas, to Woodville/pahiatua then onwards to Vinegar hill and finally up the mountain if it's a fine day, before heading back to National Park.

I'm easy as, would like a little bit of a ride, but don't want to get there tired. I'm an amateur when it comes to drinking/partying so I want to be on my best game

(I don't want it to be like the last rally, where I was in bed by 9:30 and ringing the cops to complain about the noise hehehehe ) [pt]

I have done some posters (Spank Approved), so that KBer's on bike will know who's who. They're good to print out at whatever size (ideally A4 or A3) suits. Also, the big yellow patch, scribble your name on it, so then bikers know who's who in the cars too..

Two hours from Wellington to National Park? You need an ST1300, mate. It will save you heaps of time otherwise lost at fuel stops...

Mrs H and I are planning a rendezvous at Chez In NZ to collect Paul and Vicki and ride northwards with them. Land sakes alive, we'll have ourselves a convoy!

Yeah - if the weather's good I'll be in Te Horo in the morning so I'd be keen to meet up with people. But then again I haven't finalised where exactly I'm going - I might try and meet people in Pahiatua instead. Sorry - heaps of stuff to do at the mo, I'll sort myself out soon though.

SC are you going with Doug and co? Cause I can see when you guys will be going through Pahiatua and meet you there.

I don't think so at this stage. Want me to text you with progress reports? Would be nice if we could all arive in one big Welly group, but I'm not up for a huge pre rally ride. Just a medium length trip.

It would be cool to arrive as a group eh. Maybe we could all meet up (apart from WT etc if they're leaving at 3) at Taihape then?
I'll have my phone on me so yep - we'll keep in contact.

Yeah but we are tough like Crazy Steve and not scared to be on our own in strange country... Besides with an old bike like my Guzzi you always carry a bunch of screwdrivers...

    Cheers

Ok - here's another plan for riding up.
Me, crazylittleshit, Deano, VaselineWarrior (who's not coming for the rally, just the ride) and maybe a couple of others are going to leave Te Horo at about 2pm. I figure there's no point leaving any earlier if kick off's at 5ish. We're just heading up SH1 and over the Paraparas.
Let me know if anyone else's keen and we'll meet up. Hitcher and co, are you guys going that way?
Alternatively, we could meet others that are going to be doing the Paraparas at that cafe/shearer's pub/garden bar place on the Wanganui side.
