FXR150 Battery.

2yrs back my FXR150 blew heaps of smoke from under the seat just after starting it. I've never found any damage nor noticed any electrical problems. Any ideas on the cause or hidden damage?

Also, need to replace my battery now that it won't electric start the engine. It's a fist sized sealed battery and got quoted $105 with only 3mths warranty. I find that's extremely steep with a very short warranty period. Know of where I can get a better deal? (Ideally in Christchurch).

there are about 5+ motorbike dealerships down the end of Manchester Street, someone is bound to have something along there.

the batteries would be generic i would imagine.
