Looks good. Just a note on your front brake lever Max, it looks like the "knob" has gone from the end. You would be wise to replace the lever before the next meet if that's the case.

No.... it's actually a technical requirement to have the ball end of the lever.
Check out chapter 10-9 of the MNZ rules.

    No knob - no race...

Is 'Kneed IT' strong enough for making a ball out of? I have a similar prob, and a tube of Kneed it in the shed. Saw a guy with it on his last week end. His bike slid for 10m and it just filed away as nylon does. But are you allowed it?

Try it and let us know. Might be an easier way to get short levers than the cut and weld approach.

Looking good Max. After the amount of sanding I have been doing over the weekend on my new tail section buying one already done seems like a bloody good idea

What do you mean?? I sure as hell would try and get away with it if I could, you calling me stupid, actually you are better off not to answer that partcular question

Can you tell me waht you mean by covering it in rubber??

Kneed it is fine, if you get it to work. The hardest part is getting it to bod to the lever, need to be roughed up good, and even then in my experience it is not as strong and will break in the same place again. I have nevr had much success.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

well it would be good if your gsxr tail scetion fitted nice because it would be something new and interesting.......but if it dosnt fit harry has two different rs125 style tail section.... the only reason i brought it is for aerodynamics

i meant with covering it with rubber by getting a solid piece of rubber and moulding it on to the lever end like a knob.

im taking it to get painted soon so ill post picts when i get it back, -max

Painting it is deffently on the cards, but it depends on what is happening with with my job wheather or not it gets done any time soon.

As for Murry I have been trying to get hold of him myself to find out if evertything is ok, but have so not had any success.

Its looking good. Where did you pick up the tail section from? Our project is coming together nicely, the engine is in the frame, and should be ready for October.

FFS aftermarket levers are like $20 cheap & you should carry a spare at any rate.

Kneedit? you wouldn't get that past scrutineering in any larger event.
