Well that's not usually that difficult with a FXR, what have you done to make it hard to start?

The only thing I've changed recently engine wise is I went to a smaller main jet after Bren rode it. Had a 140 in it and now have a 130, mainly because thats all I had. Does seem a little crisper up top now. That and just trying to ride it harder too.

Have you drained the carb? Modern fuel does not store well, especially in a float bowl or even gas tank.
Drain the float bowl and give it some fresh 98 octane and see what happens.

You didn't leave the fuel tap on did you? Mine managed to full the crank with petrol after I left the fuel tap on once, wondered where all this liquid was coming from, it was pumping fuel into then out of the crankcase breather bottle!
