= '03 Legacy Wagon. Contrary to those that have never owned a modern Legacy, they are cheaper to run than a the likes of the Mazda6 and cheaper to service/fix (if you exclude the free servicing). Combined fuel of about 8l/100km, with 4wd.

In saying that, if you're even considering a CX8 means that you wouldn't really consider anything but a Holden tank.

I was looking at them when I was into Holdens more. Heard they're not fans of going round corners (so to speak of corners). Also didn't like the way the Commodores handled compared to the 6's and Legacy's.

But it's totally a personal thing. Besides Leggy's are on run out since new models are coming out in December.

Since it's for the wife, wouldn't it be better looking for a smaller wagon? Check boot space too. Was it the ford or holden that had a rubbish boot for the actual size of the car?

Have you looked at one of the new Hilux double cabs with a canopy? Better in every way than the car you are looking at. Cheaper to buy, worth more second hand, better for parts, cheaper to run, better quality, awesome towing, awesome comfort and room. I get 650km to about $75 diesel. Consistently, loaded or not, in town or on long trips. I used to be a Holden man but won't look back now. Just my 2c.
