    Talking Ride forever [DVD]

I just watched the ACC DVD "Ride Forever". It's actually quite good from an educational perspective - not over commercialised or over edited. I must say though it is absolutely hilarious. I thought I would share the best bit with you. First a little backstory:

They take three riders of vary degrees of experience and put them through various situations on the road. They have comms gear, cameras, etc. They are monitored by a panel of three senior riders (e.g. chief police motorcycle instructor) back in a studio who comment on their riding (and who will chose one rider to receive a bunch of free gear at the end).

The three bike pull up to an set of lights. There are two lanes going straight ahead and the camera is looking backwards at them from across the intersection. From the perspective of the bikes (not the camera) there are two bikes in the left lane and a single bike (with the most competent and senior rider) in the right lane (but toward the left edge of the lane). Some clown in a people mover pulls right up to the front of the lights in the remaining space to the right of the single bike. I hope this is making sense. Basically across two lanes there are now three bikes and one MPV at the front.

    And now the main event:

The "panel" thing this is starting to get interesting when the biker to the right leans into passenger window of the car and says "Hey! You are a tool mate." He said it with just the right inflection and comic timing that I nearly wet myself. It's worth getting the DVD just for that tiny bit (at around 6:30). Here he is trying to "win" the competition. Trying to demonstrate his riding prowess. By calling the driver a tool. :-) It was fantastic. I wish I could convey the humour of it in words.
The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, he said.

Iv just watched that DVD too. Being new to this motorbiking malarky, I have to say I found it really useful. As you say,not to commercial and imo, offering useful and accessible advice. Was wondering if there are other dvds like that out there?
