    Its sort of hard to put into words the way to ride on shingle or grass with street tyres on a heavy bike,
    but once you get the confidence to do so, it can become a lot of fun,
    its just a different style of riding you have to adapt to.
    I;m sure there are some amoung us, like myself, who rode shingle roads many years ago before the advent of modern machinery that can only really perform on sealed surfaces.
    I agree, it's something I do have to get used too and I guess the more I do it (like with everything else) the better I'll get!
