Which particular "she" do you have in mind? Or would that be telling????

And don't look now but there is a certain Tripper who appears to have returned from the North. I wonder if we will see him this week??????????

And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Nah - now he's got the Guzzi, he can officially got for gigolo...

On a lighter side, may not make it... work and/or family likely to push me later. Peetey - still remembered that batt and 7812 three terminal regulator for your camera stuff, may be next week.
He who shall go stately at the back and not stress out.
So Gareth what was it you said about MaxF's "Funky ass curves"? - God, now I'm worried...

Thanks max, I really appreciate all your input with this never ending gadgetry experiment. I've almost finished making a wee A/V sequencer kit I got from Dick Smith, cycles up to four cameras to one output with a speed control and hold switch. It runs on 12v as do the four cameras so your help is perfectly timed, I really don't want to fry any of the cameras or this sequencer!
Once this is done I can have four blurry cameras to miss the action with and edit badly, not just one!

    Roll on Wednesday!

    Hope the weather holds ...

So Q, what your saying is, you want time to throw your leg over the Missus, before coming out on the WNR? Always had you marked as a virile young man!!

Hmm from memory that kit has a current draw of about 500mA you might need to do a little maths as the 7812 is limited to 1 amp, there are limitations with this device also as you supply needs to be 1.2 volts higher than the voltage output thus if your charging circuit is not fully operational you my not be providing enough voltage to use the device.

BTW it you need a current bypass transistor I might still have a few suitable devices here.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

You could always use a LM350 instead, 3A output & just requires a couple of resistors to set the voltage. Or strap a 2N3055 across an 7812.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Original idea was to have it KISS with the 7812 trickle-charging an old ex-UPS 12v8Ah SLA and the extras going off that... it is being fed from an old R80 system, so hopefully that would get over 13.2v for input. Anyway, up to Peetey, was just going to donate some parts.
