I got one of you just after you saw me, you were looking almost sheepish but still holing on to the 'handlebars', at least, maybe resting your arms on them. 'Tis a little blurry tho, shame ...

Hey guys, just want to say a big thanks to everyone for the awesome season of "official" wednesday night rides.

I haven't been around as much this year to lead and organise, the man bringing me down and 1 or 2 bike issues, plus lets face it, the wether was pretty shit.

I guess wednesday night maintenance evenings will probably start up sometime soon so we call all keep in touch and gas bag. etc

See you all 29th of september.

Ha ha, was going to say the same to you!
It's been great taking photos around people who are just as passionate about bikes as I am, means I don't piss them off quite as much as most other people

True, so long as the brownie has an XR in it!

My KX500 probably a better bribe but you probably end up with a different type of brownie

Congrats to Helen and Buddha and other KBer's down at the Methven street race, put on a good show. Looked bit dangerous when they laced one straight with shingle or whatever the country boys and gals used, mate said should be using cement mix. Never been to a motorsport event where there was so many accidents Hope the dude on the DR with two broken arms and head injuries is ok, he was getting along so well too on such a heavy bike.

Shame about ya brake failing Buddha early in the day, not confident inspiring for the other motard races on the card.

Anyone hear who won the supermotard event and what they were piloting ?

Seen an accident just up from Rakaia Gorge on the way home, Repsol replica in the ditch and the 70 year old rider clasping his chest

    Electronic components

Does anyone know of an electronics nut (or student) the kind that is into building all sorts of gadgets out of components cause do I have an offer.

I am going to quit all of the components I have, there is a large selection of passive components, some TTL's, and CMOS components, LED's, LED 8 segment displays and transistors.

I simply don't have the enthusiasm for electronics any more and having worked at DSE when they actually sold this kind of product I built up a decent stock, in fact one would say I spent far to much of my wages on this stuff.

My preference is for this to go to someone who can use it and uses it as a hobby or for study (as in a student) but I will give it to a technician if there is one that is interested, or it goes in the bin come next week.

You need to be able to collect it, there will be no storage draws, and I will not sort stuff out, but if you are interested just get in touch and come around and collect the lot.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

If no one else wants it, I'll take it. I'm a first year at UC doing Computer Engineering. Not back in chch though till the end of April.

Johnny - be interested if it's otherwise due for the bin - and if it's really time-sensitive then no issue with collecting now and then splitting with grusomhat later later... PM me if that's OK.

So Gareth what was it you said about MaxF's "Funky ass curves"? - God, now I'm worried...

That's just the problem, I have all these memories of RM and CR 125s, XL250s and a couple of XR 200s. They are about 20 year old memories but the buzz still lingers!
The only reason I don't have one (or three) is a question of funds.

Good lord, I'd be shaking in my boots! I'd love to try her round the block perhaps or on an easy ride but I'd be soooo nervous! You could ride the Xmas tree!
