Hi guys and girls regarding the protest ride, so after tweeking and checking out some details, the start point will be @ the peg on Saturday 31st of october 10.00am then we will be heading down main north rd, papanui rd, victoria street, lichfield street and then into manchester street and ending up @ the biketoberfest and we will make our stand there as well, i have just one more hurdle and thats is trying to get the police to co-operate with us and helping with traffic control. when the day comes and we are ready to ride i will give you all final directions and answer any questions that people may have,

Also made it home in one piece. By heck that ride home was scary! Ok, for me it was. A few prayers were said on passing the big trucks! Also my feet were soaking, the fabric bit on my boots aren't waterproof, will have to get the scotch guard out and give them a spray!

HoT: I also saw a little coloured car (thankfully no flashing lights for me) was doing a reasonable speed at the end of the motorway heading into Belfast when he passed, must have realised that I was too busy concentrating to bother with me, thank you for that!

    On a different note

If you have old helmets hanging around you no longer want there may be a beneficial use for them, will get all the details in the next few days but I hear folks at the hospital are looking for helmets to use in training, apparently its the trauma unit so sounds like a good thing to me.

Kerry will find out the details and we will pass them on here.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Which reminds me.............Stanley Chung what has happened to you??????
I had my girls last night which is why I couldn't come. Not sure it would have been that exciting considering there are really no corners along SH1 to there?? Or was there another route taken?

I have one that is taking up space on my porch, I took it off a friend of mine who was riding her scooter at night without it even fastened! gave her my (good) old one and my old dri rider jacket - that was my good deed for the year! oh hang on, I charged her $200 so was only half a good deed lol

Must have been character building, man it was hosing down on my home in the cage last nite, got soaked just getting out to open the gate. A loburn-ashley- oxford type ride would be good later on too. Think when the sw change change thru late afternoon in town Emlyn, few people would have been worried about the weather.

i have to say the radar detector is a handy tool, even if you only use it as a reminder to check your speed a little bit... Cheers for the great ride everyone. Good to see so many kids (junior bikers ??) out braving the weather.
