Claytown Troupe "Real Life"
Saw these guys at WOMAD here in the 'Naki in March. Definitely the stand out performance with this Chemical Brothers cover being mindblowing. Lead is by Medhi Haddah with an electric oud. These guys don't fuck around when it comes to volume and this is best listened to LOUD![]()
Some real THIN LIZZY
EMERALD![]()
Circus Of Power "Vices" off the Album Vices

Budgie "In for the Kill"
A band that many have copied , Metallica for instance did "Crash course in brain surgury"
Screaming Blue Messiahs "Wild Blue Yonder"
Screaming Blue Messiahs "Twin Cadillac Valentine"
The The "Sweet Bird Of Truth" off the "Infected" Album
i find last.fm to be a good place to get recomended music from, you chuck a little app on your computer which figure out what music you have, then thier website recomends similar artists, I'm into a bit of an obscure genre Symphonic Metal, not played on any radio, and nz music shops barely even stock it.
Good Symphonic/melodic/goth metal (all female fronted)
Nightwish (of course)
Sirenia
Xandria
Evanescanse
Lacuna Coil
Lunatica
Within Temptation
Delain

Here's a few from one of my favorite "weird" albums of all time. Needless to say, Fire Down Below and The Whores of Baltimore are NOT WORK SAFE lyrics.
International Talk Like a Pirate Day reminded me of these...
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
And one more. Sorry only version I could Find on the tube. Jolly lyrics.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
Just to bring it down a notch or three for your viewing pleasure

I can't find any audio/videos of him but I used to really like Rodriquez - http://www.sugarman.org/index.html
And (from one extreme to another) Vanity... a female version of Prince or whatever he's called now.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
