Saw these guys at WOMAD here in the 'Naki in March. Definitely the stand out performance with this Chemical Brothers cover being mindblowing. Lead is by Medhi Haddah with an electric oud. These guys don't fuck around when it comes to volume and this is best listened to LOUD

i find last.fm to be a good place to get recomended music from, you chuck a little app on your computer which figure out what music you have, then thier website recomends similar artists, I'm into a bit of an obscure genre Symphonic Metal, not played on any radio, and nz music shops barely even stock it.
Good Symphonic/melodic/goth metal (all female fronted)
    Nightwish (of course)
    Sirenia
    Xandria
    Evanescanse
    Lacuna Coil
    Lunatica
    Within Temptation
    Delain

Here's a few from one of my favorite "weird" albums of all time. Needless to say, Fire Down Below and The Whores of Baltimore are NOT WORK SAFE lyrics.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day reminded me of these...

I can't find any audio/videos of him but I used to really like Rodriquez - http://www.sugarman.org/index.html

And (from one extreme to another) Vanity... a female version of Prince or whatever he's called now.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
