Where do y'all go on these rides? I would like to go tonight since it's a pearler of a day but couldn't get out of work (in the city) til after 6 . Is there some place I could catch you up (without going warp speed as I'm on a FiXeR which can't do that)?

You will almost make the departure time as they dont head away till 6.30. Stunning in the Rapa, a little breezy, but nothing worrisome. Road is real wam and sticky

Haha, im sure its just the way im trying to ride it
We all know they are the ultimate, best bike of all time, right?

Only reason left foots ok is cos i can let it dangle under the gear lever, on a more normal angle... right foot is bent all strange to sit over the brake lever, as its made for flat-footed riding... but my legs are too bluddy long!

    Hell yeah,
That was a good accident. Wonder how he (or she) managed that. Those skidmarks where miles long.

Glad you enjoyed your first rides through Silverstream then up the Blue Mountains Road through Whitemans Valley, Mangaroa, Maymorn, and Te Marua, then down SH2 over Mangaroa Hill, and then Wallaceville Hill and back to Silverstream.

About 53km in 53 minutes with a bit of everything, the initial Blue Mountains Road is a good 1km climb with decreasing radius corners, the road out to Whitemans Valley opening up then narrowing down to hedge rows. The climbs over Mangaroa and Wallaceville Hills are good, as are the downhill runs.

I spent a lot of time on this circuit on my first 250cc (a GN250) and now tonight was the thrid time since Sunday I did the circuit on the 250R Ninja.
Speaking of which the new Ninja is running in very well indeed, and I can see I am going to enjoy this summer and next winter on this bike.

    Glad you enjoyed the ride.

Sent a text to Sels1 when I got home, 'too windy' for me on the new bike up over the Takas this evening.

I think we made a wise decision to bale and head home from Te Marua.

Yep, i doubt the hill wouldve been much fun for a newbie on a light bike like myself lol. Forgot to mention, found out first hand what a hare going "pop" sounds like too on one of those back roads, but doesnt seem to be any mess on the bike
