The ride is never cancelled, but if the weather is crap people simply dont turn up. Having said that, there is nearly always some who turn up regardless of weather.
I hear the Royal pub in Featherston will be closed tonight.
Looking at the weather radar and forecast there will be some showers around. Its still fine on the Kapiti coast at the moment, hard to say how long it's going to last - but it is always better here in a southerly

Good to see you made it tonight - and it was a bonus to meet your bike's old owners!

It didnt rain and the group that did turn up had a nice run over the Paekak Hill out to Gordy's in Pram

It was a good ride. No rain, no bins.

Although I did hit a rabbit 50m from home. What is it with me and animals on the blimmin roads??!!

Took me ages to catch it and put it out of its misery. People driving past must have thought I was nuts, jumping about in the long grass in the Busa's headlight beam.

Was an excellent ride, thought it had started to rain coming thru pauatahanui but it was just millions of bugs! (Tried to feed them to the car spiders but they weren't interested) Did you see the crash on the way back to paekak?

Bugga. And I nearly turned around in upper Hutt to join you all. I was just looking at those Rimutakas and was thinking about my shitty small tyres on wet corners and headed home. My loss - will make more of an effort next time.

Thanks for dealing with the Rabbit. Much appreciated. Would have been a hoot to watch!

Only crushed its back right leg with the front wheel. I couldn't leave it to suffer.

Free chips were a plus! Best ride I have had over the hill yet.
