We saw the Smashing Pumpkins at the peak of their powers, touring Mellon Collie: before Jonathan Melvoin died, before Chamberlin nearly died before it got too acrimonious between Wretzky/Iha/Corgan. They were AMAZINGLY GOOD.

Of course it turned to shit after that.

And yes I shall be attending the Pixies. I may even sing along to Waaaaaa aaaaaaa aaaaaaave of mutilation.*

*who am i kidding, I'll sing along to all.

    I freakin LOVE the Pixies.

I just got told about this by my mate who's in a pixies tribute band here in Wellington and he's really excited about it. I plan to go to.

Ha! I saw them on the "Gish" tour...

I missed the Pixies on the Doolittle tour, I think 'cos I couldn't afford that and the Wonderstuff gig the same week...I'm not sure that was the right decision with hindsight.

Agree with that. The Pixes have such a huge sound that the venue needs to be geared up for it.

Who cares though, I must get to that gig just because they are here..

PWEI were better when they did Reformation a couple of years ago. I have the CD of that gig.. Unspoilt by progress.
