    Trademe show and tell.

Interesting. Check out the seller comments at the bottom.

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-237841141.htm

hey, you advertised this car as being registered! is there any outstanding fines/fees or money owing on this car!! It's really disconcerting that you are apparently away until after the auction and that no one can view prior to bidding!! really bad elsa5 (443 ) 8:10 pm, Mon 31 Aug

the car comes with 3 months registration, to be honest im not too concerned what you think because you dont know my circumstances! 10:23 pm, Mon 31 Aug

Seller Comment: Just to clarify, there is no money owing on this vehicle, it is freehold.. I won close to $500,000, I am completely debt free. 10:49 am, Tue 1 Sep

    Oh really

It's very peppy, good for over taking and getting up hills.
Its a hyundai the only thing it will be pushing up hills is the Idiot driving it at speeds you might as well get a moped for. Peppy you say? Its a 1600cc economical tree hugger ve-hicle.

runs on the smell of an oily rag.
No it runs on the smell of a Glade Air freshener on picture 10 ya smelly coont.

What more could you want in a car?
Gee thats a hard one I dont know maybe some hot Finland chicks, no Polynesians because they wouldnt fit and the suspension doesent look too promising.

This will be your buy of the year..
And you added the extra dodgy fullstop for what reason? Im a Maori, if I manage to pay off my next WOF and rego I will be over the moon.

Unless I've read it wrong the seller is happy for a post auction AA aprasil, and for the sucessful bidder to test drive and decide if the car is for them after auction, without the bidder being bound to the auction rules, sounds like the seller is trying to be as fair as possible.

Buyer beware is the exspectation of any auction, and it is up to the buyer to arange appraisal for what they may be bidding on, it is advisable for a potential bidder to negotiate in their terms of sale that if it is only conveniant, for an apraisal to be done post auction that they apply for this before bidding, and this to be a factor in the sale going a head.

+1 don't see any problem here. Would approach this no differently to any other car buying situation. Might ask him some lotto questions (in a friendly none intrusive way), ie: when he won & what lotto etc & gauge his response.

In fairness the bidding only shows the last 10 bids of which was $200 dif between them showing only two bidders to that point.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Shit if they don't like the terms of the auction, don't bid. Idiots.

I am puzzled as to why the seller would emphasize on the car being "peppy", have passed many Hyundai's on my daily commute. They seem like a normal 1.6 commuter with not much kick, so no need for the seller to over exaggerate or highlight the cars performance.
