Still a bit of grit around Canterbury roads.

Went for a spin up to Kaikoura today. Came back inland via the Mt Lyford Road. Still quite a bit of grit around. And the condition of the road itself was pretty crap in places too. Anyone know what the Leader Valley Road is like at the moment? What about the gorges?

leader valley road is just as bad rosie,
be another three to four weeks till the grit dissapears .
even the scargill valley road still has some grit on it.
we are still getting good frosts out here, so untill they stop the grit will be there
went up to kaikora myself last week, a little grit on SH1 but otherwise a clean road.

We went through the Leader valley on the weekend of the 22nd August and it was fairly grit free except for a couple of spots, Scargill road was pretty clear except for the Waikari end where you get into the shade of the trees

So unless they've added more since then there's not much to worry about
