wasnt meant to be a dig. but seriously.. if you ride for 30mins then think of it as 3 rides.

ride for 30 mins.. stop.. have a latte.. ride for 30mins.. stop have a latte. ride for 30mins and your there.

Once you have got this method down to ride for under 40k at a time and perfect the latte ordering you might qualify to join the manawatu riders.

I did a ride to Wellington for breast cancer last year around October,left from Palmy to Wellington return,piece of piss the return trip.Although we did highway 57 from the turn off and saw a cop(only one whole trip?)around Shannon,the speeders were lucky a van was holding them up and traffic coming towards them,otherwise one ticket easy.

Go via SH1 not via SH2 if it's your first time at 100k on open road. It will still be a fun ride and you won't be pressured by fast traffic on narrow and winding roads.

Relax, enjoy the ride, and keep your eyes up.
