It wasn't the total number that worries me --its the number on the track at the same time. I was thinking 20 bikes max at a time.
I had a mental image of a huge touring group and stuff all in the other two groups.
the good news is that the 3 "classes" have sorted out to be fairly even sized.
Thats why I did the poll as to which speed group ya wanted to be in.

Just so's you know, I may be male, but I like to change my mind at will, so I may go from slow to touring at some stage, but I suspect you already knew/anticipate this

So the total number of bikes is 53? ish. You are going to end up with half the slow group going up to the second group and only one or two from the middle group going to the fast group. As there is so much talk about racing in the fast group some might come back to the middle group. It will be interesting but things can be changed at the track on the day. 12 - 15 bikes of new riders is all you want and I would think the same applies to the middle class. See people who are not track experienced, like me, change lines not because we are out to block others but we are trying to get things sorted. It is easy to back off or power on at our speed and this equalls a changed line simply due to a lack of experience. That's what this day is for. I am sure it will all work out but to have 30 or more bikes with limited experience all trying to learn corners and power use could be a bit of a squeeze in the corners.
This is not a complaint and good on you for all the work you have done. This is just a comment that may enable you to have options should the middle group grow to 30 bikes. That is why most days are limited to 35-40 bikes on the Taupo track. Keep up the good work and see you in Taupo tomorrow.
The rain has stopped here in the Bay and the sun is about to come out. I think Taupo will be over cast and almost dry tomorrow. It is going to be a good day.

Have a safe trip and I hope the rain stays away from your roads. Sounds like rain for Welly town today. You might get away before it sets in. See you at the track. I am sure you are right about the middle group growing. Frosty will work it out on the day.

Ya know what--ya can't please all the people all the time -wouldn't matter what I do someone is gonna gripe
53 is the number confirmed but as at today 3 have dropped out.
    That makes 50
I suspect too that more will move up from the touring ghroup than you think.
Anyone that decides to gatecrash will not be on the track. I don't care how far they've come to be there.
Also keep in mind the final say as to changeing groups is mine.If I feel the group is too big or the situation is dangerous Ill be sorting it out.
