That "Live by Request" concert is really good. He looks as if he is having a good time.

I missed the Stage tour (my Mum wouldnt let me go ) but saw Serious Moonlight.

My favourite album is Ziggy Stardust, and favourite track on it is "It ain't easy" (which I was amazed to find out earlier this year is a COVER! the original is on yoootooob its by a guy called Roy Davies (not Ray Davies)

In terms of D Bowie live albums my favourite (because its the first one I ever heard) is David Live. Its not much beloved by critics (but they can get fucked) but I love it. That version of Width of a Circle rules. Earl Slick on guitar is amazing.

The version of TVC15 of Stage is really good also.

Great thing about DB? business sense: he owns most of his own material.

not that I am a Bowie anorak or anything.

    What a fantastic concert...
    Saw him at QEII.

I worked there at the time and had a master key that I could open up the back gate. I'll never forget the look on the coppers face as me and my wife walked past.................all as innocent as a new born babe.

Saw him at the cake tin when he was here last. Shitty night but still a good concert.

Yeah, I thought Low was good too, not so commercial. "I love the sound of breaking glass".

Not forgetting Aladdin Sane's Panic in Detroit.

It took me years to realise other artists existed. Can't choose as they all do it for me.

Erm, that would be me. (Now I have a smutty image in my head. Thanks a lot.)

Urban myth or not I wouldn't past either of them.

Bowie got inspiration for song lyrics by cutting newspapers up, scattering the clippings, getting wasted, and see what develops.
    Classic.
The funky flow of Fame works, but I can't pick a fave.

Can't find the original, but here's a vid for Stirts, with yummy youthful DB Images (not to be confuzzled with BD Images )

Cat People (Putting Out The Fire) my favourite too...have the movie soundtrack LP with extended version of it. Followed by Heroes
Might have to find the Cat People Soundtrack myself!

I have Sound and Vision, playing at the mo, on my Ipod (can't find my 'Best of' Disc)

Heroes, Fame, Let's Dance, Rebel Rebel, Space Oddity, Life On Mars EDIT! Ashes to Ashes, Fashion - BEEP BEEP.

EDIT Modern Love, This is Not America, Absolute beginners...side by side. (I'm editing as I listen )

Really can't pick a favourite after Putting out the Fire!!!!
And THEN there's all the collaborations! Arrrgh!

    Not all, but some yes.

No one has mentioned this Bowie classic yet!

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Less well known. When I was 8 or 9 or something this was my favourite song. The YouTube version doesn't do it justice.
