No.As I stated previously,If the intention was too ban the use of full wets then it should read,Dot/European approved tyres ONLY and as I was led too believe during discussions regarding the Minilite tyre rules,The 150s were going to be running too MNZ rules which allows the use of full wets provided they are available in the gazetted sizes as pointed out by swerve.

Sorry. This is really clear to me: As per MNZ rules except they must be DOT Road Tyres.

If they're not DOT Road Tyres or fall outside the rest of MNZs rule you can't use them.

    22-12-10 Tyres
Gazetted Tyres for 150cc Street Stock Class.
    Tyre sizes, 80/90, 90/90, 95/70, 90/65, 100/80, 110/90, 120/80 x 18 TT900, 110/80 x 17
Applies to 150 Street Stock only.
    1. The choice of tyre is optional, either a slick or a Dot/European approved road legal tyre
on sale to the public. (No grooved slicks, modifications or treatments allowed to
    tyres).
    2. All tyres fitted must be mounted on a corresponding rim as per the tyre manufacturers
recommendations of rim to tyre specifications. These shall be gazetted on the MNZ
website and up dated as necessary.
    3. Tyre warmers are not allowed.
    4. Should the steward call the race wet then the rider, may use a DOT/European
approved road legal tyre or a full race wet weather tyre marked not for highway may
be used. (No slicks or grooved slicks allowed).
    5. Wet race: A race if classified as wet, usually commenced in varying or wet conditions,
will not be interrupted for climatic reasons and riders who wish to change tyres or
make adjustments must enter the pits and do so during the actual race.
    6. Should track conditions change due to climatic conditions after a race has started the
steward shall stop the race to enable competitors to change their tyres Rule 6-13 will
apply. Conditions for stopping and restarting a race Refer Rule 6-13.
    7. On safety grounds a steward may stop the race should the conditions be considered
    dangerous.

    With the provision: Supplementary Regs
    Soft compound DOT road tyres.

The Supplementary Regs do say Soft compound DOT road tyres. I'm not understanding what you're getting at. Is it the English used? The phrasing? Not legal enough? Not clear?

What is it I'm missing? It's plain English to me...

150cc: As per the MNZ Streetstock 150 regulations. 2-stroke and 4-stroke
commuter type bikes, No modifications are allowed except for: Removal of glass
and indicators, removal of plastic fairings is allowed, replica fibreglass fairings are
also allowed. Soft compound DOT road tyres
We have a meeting on Tuesday so I'll talk to Dee and Clive then. They may be able to enlighten me.

    Pre-race Test Day

While at your Vic club meeting, Could you please discuss the merits of asking Manfield to make their 'open test days' that are right before Vic Club race days a Bike only affair. (Maybe for next year)

Vic club racers input a large percentage of Manfield income on these days it seems. (How many bikes there, compared to, how many cars). I would see it a just reward to give us our own test day (bikes only) to give us even more track time.
It would probably encourage even more bikes to attend, thus covering the loss of a few cars that might have turned up.
It would give those of us who have to travel a long way time to get there, and still more than just two session in the afternoon of track time for our full days fee.

    Thoughts?

Yeah i mentioned that to Sue? that runs the test days mate, especially after loosing 1 1/2 hours at the last one thanks to the one and only car that went out in the very 1st session and dropped its load half way round the track.
Also don't cars have car only days?
Drop a line to the Manfeild crew mate, the more ppl that ask the better.

Great to see the amount of South Island Riders who have Entered this Round so far in most classes. Well Done.
Round 5 is going to be 2 days filled with some Very Close and Exciting Racing and for those of you out there who are intending to come along to watch this Round, you wont be disappointed.
Keep those Entries coming in, as you only have 2 days left to get them in if you don't want to be hit with the $50.00 Late Entry Fee.
