TGIF ride: Taka night run to Martinborough (Fri 11 Sept)

Hey all

Im keen to cross the hill on Friday Night (IF the forcast storm arrives Saturday as planned)

Weather allowing (eg not a hurricane) I will be gathering up riders at the Haywards- opposite the Dry Creek Quarry around 7pm

Anyone welcome - leisurely pace intended, its no race

BUT if ya wanna have fun ahead by all means, be safe and wait at Top, and again at Featherston turn off for head counts

A quick

at MartinB and home again

I know- Fridays ya piss drinking night but the weekends set to shit out I thought why not

Nights still young at 1030 when the steeds are stabled

Weathers looking bad for tomorrow too-

Will re-post at 4 and 6 pm tomorrow to establish if its worth going

Not that I am bothered by rain, wind, or the hill, but all 3 at once aint much fun and this is a fun event not a survival test

Essentially if the wind warning signs are on before the hill its likely not worth the ride

I am hoping WuZ with his mughty XR250 (that has dual SPOTLIGHTS mounted) will come

I will see if I can get permission to come, I don't think I'll be able to tho cause ive already booked the weekend for trail riding in the akatarawa's.

If anybodys interested, ive got an extra bike that someone can ride in with us on (the Mighty AG, it will go anywhere the XR does, and further). PM me if you're interested. Will be going in saturday morning, coming out sometime on sunday.

and a gentle zephyer of a breeze. Very overcast and prob rain coming with you lot. Let me know if its a go (text) but my warm house looking pretty inviting at the mo

Well- the wind on our sides middling but gusty as hell
Cloud speed is high so up on the hill it will be blowing

Wet- ah so what-
Weta nd dark- ah so what
Wet dark and windy- hmmmmm
Methinks it wont be fun- I say can it team
