And its moved to this thread.

I dunno if the mods think its funny, but as far as I'm concerned they can get fucked.
Infract me or whatever, get your power buzz, rules, rules, blah, blah.
    Fuckwits.
Just read my post from Sunday, it was also about the bike, ( tyres, pressures, chain) Now looking at all the catagories, I should have posted one on General Maintainence ( tyre pressures) one on Engine, Clutch, Transmission ( chain tension reference), one on Frame, Suspension, Final Drive ( also chain tension reference) and one on Brakes and Wheels ( tyre pressures again) Too hard and can't be bothered, so probably just won't say anything anymore, anywhere, ever again. This must be what freedom of speech means.

    Hi Guys

If you have a problem with two threads .... unlike the manawatu riders who quite adapted ... you can have one thread in Rant and Rave ... we will merge the two quite happily ... you can still post seperate specific ride threads - but that will be your central one.

    So choices:

    1. two threads one in rant and rave and the other meetings and events

    2. One thread in rant and rave

You decide - I don't care how you decide discuss amoungst yourselves - but you need to get Mstrs or Tart to communicate the results to the three senior mods - myself, virago and cajun.

Technically, a written contract with public witnesses. If only it had have been a Suzuki... it would have been an exceptional deal. Ah well, lucky for me... the only part of that deal I could front up with was the milkbottles part - whew

Rock and a hard place here. Nasty is a great person. I would walk over broken glass for Nasty.
We, some K/Bers, have had ups and downs on K/B before. Look at my infraction. A bloody 10 cos I said what I think. No regrets on that.

We are guests here and this belongs to Spankme. A great bloke that I meet years ago in Taupo. I have some beef with him over things on here but I am a God bothera so I would.

At the end of the day this has been a great place to meet and organise stuff but if it doesn’t work for us we need to move on. We do not own it. It will be hard to organise rides with out it but the social group thing I will miss.

So if anyone has another place that we can meet and do what was working here post it up and we can look to move. No loss to K/B as we are only a very small part of this place.

Does anyone have the link to sports bikes? I have lost it over the years as I went to them after the last infraction but came back here after a while. Just an idea to keep the group going.

Whats with all the rules , we weren't harming anyone or has someone been complaining ??? I don't think anyone else other than HB folk and friends would be the least bit interested in what had become a social thread and I am guessing most were quite happy.
Is there one or two that think what they want should out weigh the majority????
I don't post much but I always enjoy having a read about what people are up to , the rides , the bikes and the general fun poking that goes with it.
    2 threads makes it disjointed.
We are motorcyclists for F##ks sake , which in most cases means we are non conformists by nature ( excluding the Wannabees here ) . we ride to have fun and generally ignore the rules that are not important.

I started the HB rant a rave thread for the reason that anyone new to KB from the Bay would wonder what the hell was going on and give us a miss because things were getting a little to personal on here. I am the first to admit that two threads is a bloody hastle. We had a nice place to visit and chat about all sorts in the HB ride thread. Ok, so the moderators got involved, we learnt a lesson and that should have been it. I have to say that I feel that the moderators have now gone over the top with the way they have handled this all since then. We are grown ups, we should all be able to move on and return to normality ... on the ride thread!

Quasi closed the sportsbike website if that's the one you were referring to. Starting up another site for meetings would be simple as pie and something I'd
(and I'm sure others) would be more than happy to do. But anything else just simply wouldn't have the members and pretty much no one would be interested while this place is still alive. I don't really know of any other sites currently available for organising meetings.

I have just realised we will have to check a dozen threads to plan a ride with the Manawatu group.

When I asked about the trip to Phillip Island, how would I get the Hawkes Bay people to read it if I started a thread out in the never never land? The house is full by the way and we have a group going from here. But with out the group interaction how would we have achieved this result? FFS

Hey guys. Just a bit of advice fwiw. We went through this exact same situation in the Manawatu threads over a year ago. If you think this is bad, have a dredge lol. Anyway, the only rule you really need to observe to have a hassle free time is simple.

    Don't get personally abusive.

Or if you feel the need, do it privately

Believe it or not, the site does have rules and the big sticks don't get taken out that often.

Multiple threads can be fun when you get used to them, keeps ya on your toes if nothing else
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it

This is completly out of left field I know, but my 10 year old daughter and 15 year old son say that we could maybe try 'texting' each other. Apparently you can send multiple texts to a group of people to whom you may wish to comunicate your desire to partake in a mutually satisfying sojurn into the countryside upon one's motorcycle as a group. ( If there are any English teachers out there reading this, then bugga off.) The other options are letter box drops ( works for Real Estate Agents), word of mouth, writing a letter, or set times like there are now, ie, Thurs/ Sat Mobil Taradale Rd, Sat end of month Classic Club, Sunday end of month Burger Fuel ride. Are there any we have missed?

Yep that was the one. How hard would it be to have a site just for the Hawkes Bay group? What would be the set-up cost and running cost? Keep it really simple. So what if no-one else ever reads it. it would be for the Hawkes Bay group. Social gathering place. Ride planner and general chat area..........

    write a letter

We used to have an e mail list going for rides , that worked quite well.
Probably no reason we cant still use the old thread???

When it happen to the Manawatu riders, some (if not all) went to this site.
    http://www.mcrides.co.nz/

But I see they are all back now.
