    Yeah get a rooster, they are a ton of fun. Lots of personality, territorial, much more interesting than most pet birds. To be fair, a hen is more friendly but bossy as well.

    But if you really want a bird to respect, get a gander. He'll put the cat in her place very quickly. And the dog. And visitors......

    My vote goes for the gander as well, that sounds hilarious...
