    Pile of rubish worth $15,000?

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment...inning-rubbish
Ok I may be biased here as I know nothing about "art" but I think these art galleries are really reaching a new low if they're handing about $15,000 to a "Aucklander" who lives in Berlin who got staff members to make this crap and not even share the prize money with them.

What ever happened to artists who spent months on paintings or pculptures who spend months or even years creating their work? But no, we get this poof ask staff to empty the rubbish bin on the floor and give hm $15,000 for his hard work. I mean are our tax dollars paying to run these galleries?

And he didn't even do the work himself! Just instructed the gallery staff to "chuck the litter from other award entries together". The world is going mad in my opinion.

So, going by the Waikato Contemporary Art judges taste, I can curl a big steamy turd on the carpet, and get at least $500 for it.
Hell I'll give them one every day for the rest of the year for $200 a turd.

Has it occurred to you that his "work" might have been the most aesthetically
pleasing in the exhibit? Scary huh?

All you'd have to do is instruct them to do a turd on your behalf.......

That's an expensive pile of rubbish, Hyosung 650's are going cheaper than that at the local bike shop!

He may have won a $15,000 art prize, but I'm willing to bet that the 'artwork' won't have been sold by the end of the exhibition.
