We bought a bike and went racing. Not rocket science.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Started as a flag marshall in Uk back in 1980. Watched some famous names(and picked them up) cutting thier teeth on 250/250 proddy racers.............. big Z1 kawas and the like............. transatlantic series (swantz/rainey etc) probebly one of the best series ever.
Thought HEY i can do that..................well i did do that.............. but not which a fraction of the talent that these guys had/have.
Crashed a lot........... written a few off............... but still doin it and havin fun........ now hoping my lad will follow in their footsteps instead

loved motorbikes from a very young age.
got into schoolboy motorcross (as it was called then) at 12yrs because it was the only way the old man would let me have a bike.

As soon as I was legal to ride on the road I started exploring the limits of performance V ability and was encouraged by my local bike dealer to 'do it' on the track (all this before track days were invented) joined a club, hung round the pits, then bit the bullet and bought a bike! the rest they say is history. Thought I'd done my time and stopped racing years ago but guess who's lining up on the grid again this season! definitely older, maybe wiser, with shrunken balls but still have that NEED FOR SPEED!
