    weird huh...

Well the bikers in that one weekend usually put money back into the community, at the pub, cafes and bars... etc... a few even shop...

But students seem to destroy things and start fires, and fights in the street that gets the mass mob mentality behind it...

The whole picture does not look good... and the whole picture is more than just the students and some alcohol... and its going to get worse before it gets any better

Perhaps you can tell that to the owners of a block of flats in Castle Street, whose tenants were ripping the gib-board off the walls to use as fuel for the fires...?

    Not stupid? Gib-board doesn't burn...
i doubt there are many "normal" people live in the student area

If I was to be serious, I would say the solution to the problem has to be three pronged. The police need to find the balance on the amount of pressure they apply to student during the night.

The mayor and his council need to realise in a student town fuelled by alcohol they need sheperd the nastier element instead of trying to eradicate them as they will just go underground. The idea of a concert in a remote area was a interesting one.

Finally the students themselves need to realise that certain behaviour kills it for others and for themselves, most obviously the setting of fires and overturning of vehicles coupled with the throwing of objects.

The hardest part will be getting the students on board I reckon. As for the police, they didnt use too much force in my opinion, yes they used copious amounts of pepper spray but the students who got sprayed will live.

Given all the life draining bullshit, gibberish and wank being spoken about the election on KB here's something to take your mind off it.

    Needed a laugh.
