Needs options for air or ground burst and varying altitudes for the airburst option.

Waitemata or Wellington harbour would be a good option for a high yield underwater detonation. Make sure you poison the water table downwind forever when the particulates precipitate out of the very damp fallout.

The results don't show how terrain affects shockwave and the following firestorm.

If I were to ride really quickly then there's a spot that's safe from the Tsar Bomba just outside Akaroa.

    Some might call it...

awesome csi reference, someone bling the man for me, im all out!

but seriously, the only scenario where nz gets nuked (deliberately) would be when the superpowers have finsihed nuking up each other and the rest of the world, so we'd be fucked anyways! Ride towards the bombs, your end will come sooner and less painfully

yeah, wouldn't exactly need a nuke to take em out! you could probably do it with a well placed french diver and a swiss army knife

Can your bike outrun a 150Mph shockwave?

Here's an image I found on Wikipedia about the size of mushroom clouds.

50 Megaton would have created one big mama mushroom!
