If less than 49 cc (I think), a car licence is required. As is registration. On the footpath is a no-no. (a motorised vehicle) Any place where public have access (unless set aside for that purpose/use) is also a no-no.

Get stopped by plod, and it may get expensive ...

I wonder what the fine would be if you happened to get caught.....

    Probably more than it's worth.

No rego ... $200 bucks as I recall ... plus other possible charges. On the footpath ... endangering public safety .... No licence ... may be not permitted to get one for 6/12 months (depending on the judge.) Not all beaches have a 50km limit. Some are less.At 40 km's ... that may be up to 20 km's over the limit ... $120 (plus demerits)

The good news is ... if you're under 15 years of age ... the nice officer may give you a ride home and "chat" with your parents ...

    have fun ...

OR if the "officer" is in a foul mood, he/she may impound the bike ... and you (or your parents) would be liable for "towing" and "storage" ... on top of the fines...

Just go for it and don't be a smartass on it. and DON'T go ANYWHERE near 40km/hr on it unless you want to die, lol.
