    Suzuki LT50 tips

Hi all, just bought a second hand LT50 for the young fullas.

It seems sound enough, no rust or bent bits, goes well. I notice the oil tank has been disconnected and it runs on premix, guess that takes one point of failure out of the loop...

In any case anybody have tips on how to look after them, anything specific beyond normal maintenance requirements for pretty basic air cooled two stroke? Anything to watch out for?

    thanks.

Yea mon a tip or two for you.
    1) Get yaself an axle stand and put it under the middle of the rear axle--youll see where I mean.
    2) grab the backwheels and see if theres any up down/back forwards motion -If so you need new axle bearings -quite commmon issue.
3)grab either a gasket kit (40.00) or just a base gasket /exhaust gasket.yOU dont NEED A HEAD GASKET --ITS ALLY
4 nuts takes the head off then take the exhaust off Huck out the exhaust port--they carbon up bigtime. Then fill the muffler with caustic soda.-again the top end fills with carbon.
    Otherwise just enjoy the ride

Put it somewhere where it won't get stolen.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
