This happened to me not long ago......
Seems to only happen at high speed and it was the Biggest Dragon Fly I have ever seen and up that close I could taste it

Would have been 80 mm long tip to tail, I felt it hit my chest like a 45 caliber bullet and for some reason didn't think to much of it just coughed lol until I heard it doing the clatter clatter bang and hey presto there it was, me looking at it .....it looking at me, and then it was on.

It's trying to get out, and i'm trying to let it out! Trying not to laugh I could only open the visor up partly (Didn't want to lose my head) and all this did was to make it more upset, it rolled and tumbled in the wind stream hitting my face until I wiped enough speed off to open the visor fully.

What a time we had, one of those Kodak moments, never to be forgotten.

Or another time.....not in the helmet but in the jacket.
It was a spider, not just your ordinary little spider, this was as big as a adults hand (Give or take a mm or two)
Was in a hurry to get somewhere... on with the jacket ran to the bike zipped it up......felt a lump and touched that lump and it moved

Unzipped my jacket and opened it up slowly, this seemed to happen in slow mo......this spider as big as a small dog walked out and stretched its legs and jumped thats when I did the tanty dance and spun around lol

    Yep funny now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to grab my lid from its usual place in the wardrobe, to find it covered in ants eating all the dead bugs on the helmet from the previous ride. EWWW!!!!

spent about 30 minutes removing all the ants from the helmet. only to discover i had not got them all 30 minutes in to the ride.
Now i HATE creepy crawlies at the best of times, worse when i get surprised by them, I don't know how i avoided crashing.

the next day I had the same problem even though i had moved the helmet across the room. EWW
Until i moved house i got in to the habit of tapping on the helmet 30 minutes before riding, It seemed to solve the problem, and i got a clean helmet out of it too.

For me it was an angry wasp getting into my helmet while riding with visor open. Fucker stung me close to my right eye.

Wasp in England somehow got inside my shirt on the motorway. Stung me about 7 times. Thought I was having a heart attack.

In England you get Mayflys. Perfectly harmless, but big and noisey.

I was taking a long bend on a country road when one squished right in the centre of my visor. My vision instantly went from 200m to 5cm and I was still leaning through a long bend. I stopped as quickly as I could and finshed up on the grass.

Pre full face helmet days. Zooming into a swarm of bees...world record for fastest stop and removal of helmet. Still stands I believe...

When I was a younger lad still in high school in saffer land was heading home on my AE50. 'Twas a hot hot day, so coming down one of the longer downhill sections I flung my visor wide open, took my hands off the bars and relaxed to enjoy the cool flow of air. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye -wack! A giant locust jumps directly into my face and hits me square on in the eye - felt like someone punched me, wobbled badly and grabbed the bars.

Didn't fall off, but had a blue eye for a couple of days, you should have seen the other guy

The worst I've had in mine was a raging case of head lice... couldn't itch. Was annoying.

Nothing as exciting as what's been posted.
I used to ride with a clear visor and sunglasses, usually with the visor up at speeds less than 100km/h, and one morning got all of half a km from my house when a bee hit me in the nose, and went in my helmet. Seemed to take forever to stop, take the bike out of gear, take off my gloves, sunglasses, helmet, and get the bee out.
In hindsight, there was no need to panic - it had already stung me in the nose, so it was spent. (Of course, I didn't know till I stopped whether it was a bee or wasp). Luckily, either it had been stunned hitting my proboscis, or because it was the tip of my nose where the skin/flash is thin and there's cartilige close to the surface, but there was little damage.

Another time, I was riding to Coromandel (with Zed, actually) early in the morning, and near Kaiaua it was misty, so I cracked open my visor to stop it fogging up on a slow part. A couple of midges flew in, so I though, "No problem - I'll just blow 'em out!" and opened the visor wide, just as I rode through a cloud of them.
I had midges everywhere - in my eyes, up my nose, crawling all over my face. Luckily, apart from the one under my eyelid (which I had to blink out), I managed to blow most of them out in a midge-free piece of air.

I'm glad I haven't done Slofox's trick of riding through a swarm of bees, as I drove through one once near Inglewood, and it completely plastered the windscreen. Made a huge shitty mess that even emptying the windscreen washer didn't shift. Plus there were bees crawling all over the wipers, etc.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
