Don't think I can make it. Dam hand (thumb actually) is still very sore after my little off last week. Think I could do a short ride but not a long one in average weather.

Someone might be able to fill you in more than me. some are coming back here afterwards for the BBQ.
I'm imagining we will be back by 4.30 and if the weather turns to custard BBQ is still on regardless. I'm hoping to organise cover from the elements but the house is big enough anyway
Yep, NZ's premier road racing class is again the class act tomorrow http://www.motorcyclingcanterbury.or...hp?event_id=52 The Hobbit and I will be along afterwards

    Morning all!!

Well the forecasters are still threatening rain so wet weather gear for those intending to ride.
Its fine here in casebrook at the moment but there's a little wind. Forecast at metservice is still saying rain and cold. Although i just looked at the satelite map and there doesn't seem to be heaps of clouds.

Also found out that there's a major event on in Methven. will see how many turn up here intending to ride and if need be we will simply move on to another town to eat.

BBQ is defiantely still on rain or shine.

have a great day you racer types and see you later on if your coming over.
    Ride from
8 cherry place casebrook departing at 10.30.

Ride safe, one and all and rubber to the road folks!!

    Great day

Hi all. we had 11 folk brave the elements today and ride to methven on 9 bikes.
That FJrider sure gets around!!! He turned up for this one as well....
we set out from my place hummin and haaing as to what the weather was going to do. The sun was shining so we just moved on out. Didn't really have much trouble with the weather at all. We expected the southerly but sort of rode around it and only got hail for a very short burst and rode through it quickly.
Good weather at lunch time in Methven.
Went home in as direct a route as possible because although we were dry it was very very today.

Home to wait for the BBQ'ers to arrive. Numbers swelled to about 30 or so. stories swapped and a certain mr wheely quietly falling asleep on the couch.

For those of you who don't know the "social twist" was that its his birthday tomorrow so there was a interesting looking cake for him to nibble on........
I'll leave it at that and lets other fill you all in.
great day and a nice ride.
    cheers eveyone.

Thank you indeed Petra, I totally enjoyed myself. Thank you Donna, it was nice bumping into you ... or was it the other way round (you bumping into me )

The cake was scrummy ... I got a bit of nipple ... (finally)

For those that weren't there, Petra was seen acting suspicisiously on the ride.. so her bike seat was checked for "attachments" NONE were found ... this time. Prior to leaving town I "found" a shop that would sell me the "attachments" she needed. I can PM you the street address, but bring proof of age otherwise the may not let you in... (they may not believe you are over 18 )

I will be back ... around. By wednesday night ... maybe...

I went out to Rangiora to make the tag on sunday. Forgot the tag WAS a church ...AND it was SUNDAY ... But got back to a computer a half hour too late ... bugger ... but thats the way it goes.
When life throws you a curve ... Lean into it ...
