Hi, and welcome to the learners club (which I should be leaving in the next couple of weeks, I just need to scrape together $90)

If you can get it to run on 91 then save you cash, otherwise it's 96 for you. You could try 98 but that's expensive and I can only think of two petrol stations that have it. I'm taking a punt here but I'm guessing the bike was to get to Uni so just remember to take it safe, it's better to miss a lecture than spend the next couple of months getting compasionate consideration towards you marks.

Maybe. My 86 likes high octane, and lead pills in the gas tank.
You'll know if you hear it pinging.

    Welcome to KB Ricky.

The Honda CBR250R is a nice bike and owning one in no way means that you are a learner...not sure if I got your meaning right there? My first sportsbike was a black '89 Suzuki GSXR250 and boy did I think that was fast until I upgraded to a '92 GSXR750.

    Enjoy your stay.

I'd say you are all nuts. Poor ricksta, he'll be scared for life.

Welcome, if you are looking for any advice this is the best place for it. Only been here a short time but everybody has been nothing but helpful. Just try to run away from those with dubious leanings...

    Are you out my way??

Thanks for the warm welcome u guys... i'm not really that new to motorbikes, i used to ride my dad's old suzuki back in indonesia (the one with a kickstart and only had 4 gears! ) but i'm quite new on sports bikes especially the 250. Still having problems in controlling the throttle...

So i'm guessing 91 is okay? thanks for the help.

tristank, i live in Howick and i wasnt sure wether howick is in east or south auckland actually so yeah... i live in the same suburb as Gremlin's

Pssst just quietly, it's not you it's the 'L' plate they are checking out. It's a target, don't you know. Nice little bike, it'll be fine on 91. Enjoy.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
