Getting away from the hustle & bustle of the City

Since the beginning of June I've been predominantly located in ChCh with my partner and we've been continually talking about getting away from the city and finding a nice place and some land out of town.
After 20yrs of being based in Chertsey I wasn't at ease with the hideous continual drone of town & My better half having grown up in rurally had desires to return to the peace & quite of country living.
After doing a bit of hunting around, and doing a few open homes we stumbled apon a place that ticked most of the boxes for us both. So after doing a few sums things were put into action.
The house here was put on the market and sold within 3wks and a contract was drawn up on the new house.
As of last Thursday we went unconditional and shall be taking the keys on the 16th of next month

Haven't got many pics of the place and the agents have removed it from their listings.

But she's a two story, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom outfit. But there's a nice BIG garage with internal access and 4 acres of land.

And on the doorstep to some nice wee places to ride

Congrats. I wish I had the moola to buy a house. If only motorbikes wernt so expensive (my one only is because I keep putting lots of kms on it and to keep the warrentee I have to get it "serviced" -which is a waste of lots of money. Everything they do I can do just as good).

But yea as I was saying, congrats on the new house. May you fill the garage with many and varied bikes.

3mths of living on a fairly popular road is driving me there's more traffic here within 1hr than there was all week out at Chertsey, there'll be a bit of traffic at Charing Cross on the Bealey Rd but that's way down the bottom of the property.

Rakaia 15mins away, Waimak Gorge 10mins, & trout in the upper Selwyn 5-10mins away

ha I'm not sure about a choice in the matter least it's remote enough not have any issues with neighbours

lol the garage is way big enough...... twice as deep as a standard skyline double & half as wide again so there heaps of space compared to what I've been used too. Been waiting for the little red meanie to show up, even solved a couple of issues with Sam's GB the other day
