I can't believe you have to pay RUC on a Hyosung?

How would they suspect or know if your careful and never go backwards in Ks.

I have "seen" a speedo being wound back and its fairly simple to do, 10k off in about ten minutes by hand leaving very little evidence.....

It will show up at COF time when the speedo or odometer milage is entered into the system , info goes straight to LTSA & you are caught.
I have had letters from LTSA re being out of RUC when I have had a COF issued. Once you are on their radar it is only a matter of time.LTSA look for anomolies & mileages that go backwards attract attention

If you are stupid enough to wind your odo back so far that it has less km then the last time you went for a cof/wof you deserve to be caught. You should also be charged with being a dumbarse in charge of a drill. Or however its done nowadays.

Not to mention LTSA and CVIUs record on what companies have repeated COF fails. The reason why large companies running the biggest pieces of shit get a maintenance check done first.

Due to some Fwit in LTNZ deciding I had to have a goods and service license to run my truck and I couldnt get a COF without one (came up as a suprise to thousands of arborists, digger operators, plumbers, drainlayers, scaffolders, roofers etc who only found out when they refused to give us COF's without having a good license number, I ran without one for over a year. No rego either.

LTNZ said because I do low kms, dont carry goods and have a lightish truck I didnt need to do the exam, but then when it came to getting an exemption they wouldnt give me one. Took a year to sort out

I ended up having to do (trying to remember now) an exam than was like 2 hours and off ALL the questions only 2 REMOTELY related to what I do. But they got there quite a few hundred in "processing" fees and made me buy a heap of expensive literature that will never again be looked at and gave cause to drive without COF and Reg for over a year.

But its okay, I just charge my clients more, because THEY always have more money......right?

Hehe, you don't carry goods for hire or reward but you need a goods and services license.

Sounds like you need a lawyer. I'd tell them to stick it. Yet another example of the govt manipulating circumstances for their financial benefit.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Yeah, pay a lawyer a grand for them to not be able to get me off paying $400 because there lawyer who gets paid 2 grand by the LTNZ knows the job better.

I pay 1400, and two lawyers pat each other on the wallet on there way out.

The "processing" fee is such a fucking rort.
