I guess at the end of the day these days are really aimed at being practice days for racers, so those of us who are beginners would probably feel a little unsafe or intimidated.

Friends of mine who race have been to a couple of these days has thought it was awesome but wouldn't recommend a rider like me to attend.

I had a ride at one as i picked up a bike from there, there all pretty fast
and i spent my time making sure i was well out the way as there just on you so much faster then if you were in a group around your own pace. stick to motto tt ones if your int/med more for the fast guys redline ones, nothing against them thou there was heaps of track time ,mint for the faster guys.

That will be why it's limited to 40 riders !!!
He is aiming at the folk who don't mind mixing it !!!
Safety issues ? hahaha in racing ? Really ?

Darrin will still be running the 3 group trackdays as well, but these open days are aimed at those who want race pace all day !!!
Jolly bloody good on him i say !!! Long may they continue !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

There is a good amount of track time to be had this summer if ya keep ya eyes on all the sites !
Ya got www.motott.co.nz ya obviously know about
    www.redlinetrackdays.co.nz ditto knowing about it
www.kiwitrackdays.co.nz will be starting up again sometime soon (but get the feeling he gonna be going for more time at hampton downs than taupo this year)
www.pacclub.co.nz have test days at taupo and manfeild which are open to road or track bikes
www.vicclub.co.nz have a track day for the folk who put all the time in to run the winter series, which is open to all (first in best dressed)
Central districts have the two track days during summer at manfeild (which have gotten so big due to it being soooo cheap)
We got Lloyd and Jo's track day on the 7th december with Brian Bernard doing some coaching
Frostys day on the 2nd oct

The list just goes on and on !!
